History

April 1929 Founded as Takagi-Gumi, a personal business undertaking heavy construction. Expanded business centered around heavy construction and contract work.
June 1963 With the expansion of business and areas, Takagi-Gumi Co., Ltd. was established with a capital of 1.5 million yen.
February 1965 The heavy construction department was separated from Takagi-Gumi Co., Ltd. and Nippon Heavy Cargo Co., Ltd. was established.
July 1973 In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the incorporation of Takagi-Gumi Co., Ltd., it was reorganized and renamed to Takagi Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Organizational change on July 9, 1973).
April 1975 Opened Japan’s first indoor tennis school, “VIP Indoor Sports Club Kinshicho” (Koto-ku, Tokyo).
August 1979 The trade name of Nippon Heavy Cargo Co., Ltd. was changed to Nippon Heavy Co., Ltd.
February 1981 Nippon Heavy Co., Ltd. and Takagi Kogyo Co., Ltd. merged (surviving company Nippon Heavy Co., Ltd.). The capital was increased to 30 million yen and the trade name was changed to Takagi Kogyo Co., Ltd. This marked the launch of the new Takagi Kogyo Co., Ltd.
October 1985 A golf school was set up in addition at “VIP Indoor Sports Club Kinshicho”.
Established the sports business department.
July 1987 Concluded an agency contract with Sumitomo Marine & Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. (currently Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, Ltd.) Established the non-life insurance agency department.
October 1988 Completed Gotanda Takagi Building (7-19-1 Nishi Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) and moved the headquarters to Gotanda Takagi Building.
December 1989 Completed Showajima Logitem Center (Ota-ku, Tokyo).
Established the real estate department by obtaining a land and building transaction license.
April 1990 Acquired Asahi Transport Co., Ltd.
November 1992 Completed Ayase Logitem Center (Ayase City, Kanagawa).
November 1997 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Kameido” (Koto-ku, Tokyo).

March 1998 Changed the trade name of Asahi Transport Co., Ltd. to Takagi Logistics Co., Ltd.
November 1998 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Tsudanuma” (Narashino City, Chiba).
December 2000 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Tama” (Tama City, Tokyo).
October 2002 Integrated the heavy construction department and transportation department and established the logistics business department.
April 2004 Established the human resources dispatch department by obtaining a general worker dispatch business license.
November 2004 Obtained a paid job introduction business license.
December 2004 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Hikawadai” (Nerima-ku, Tokyo).
January 2005 Established a personal information protection policy.
March 2006 Launched our original job site “Job Search .net”.
April 2006 Established ES Center (whistle-blowing window).
June 2008 Closed “VIP Indoor Sports Club Kinshicho” (Koto-ku, Tokyo).
July 2008 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Sagamiono” (Sagamihara City, Kanagawa).
November 2010 Moved the headquarters from Gotanda Takagi Building to Gotanda HS Building (7-1-9 Nishi Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo).
November 2012 Set up a table tennis school at “TOP Indoor Stage Hikawadai”.
August 2014 Spun off the logistics department by company split and established Takagi Kogyo Logistics Co., Ltd.
October 2014 Transferred all shares of Takagi Kogyo Logistics Co., Ltd. to Yasuda Transport Co., Ltd., making it a non-subsidiary.
November 2015 Obtained certification for security business and established “TAKAGI SECURITY SERVICE Tokyo Sales Office”.
November 2015 Moved “TOP Indoor Stage Tama” to Bessho, Hachioji City, Tokyo.
March 2016 Established a corporate code of conduct.
April 2016 Moved “TOP Indoor Stage Kameido” to Oshima, Koto-ku, Tokyo.
October 2017 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Yokohama Cotton Harbor” (Yokohama City, Kanagawa).
December 2017 Transferred all shares of Takagi Logistics Co., Ltd. to Musashi Trading Co., Ltd., making it a non-subsidiary.
August 2018 Consolidated the headquarters, each business headquarters, and related subsidiaries, and moved from Gotanda HS Building to Gotanda Takagi Building (7-19-1 Nishi Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo).
June 2019 Closed “TOP Indoor Stage Tsudanuma” (Narashino City, Chiba).
April 2020 Opened “VIP Indoor Tennis School Toyocho” (Koto-ku, Tokyo).
May 2021 Opened “TOP Indoor Stage Sapporo Forest Park” (Sapporo City, Hokkaido).
